With nearly 20 years of experience in top-tier kitchens, Chef Anas Syafiq is the Sous Chef at The Silver Monkey, Hotel Indigo Kuala Lumpur on the Park. Born in Bidor, his farming-town roots shaped his ingredients-first philosophy and deep connection to nature. Known for his modern plating and nose-to-tail cooking, Chef Anas blends refined French and Italian techniques with bold local flavours, crafting menus that are both expressive and sustainable. A Key figure in the restaurant’s pre-opening, he curated the 2025 IHG Leadership Dinner and was honoured with the Storyteller Leader Awards in 2024. Outside the kitchen, he finds inspiration in nature and mountain hiking – passions that echo through every dish he creates.
